Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LineageAI platform provided by ChimeStream B.V. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Important: LineageAI is an administrative coordination tool, not a medical device. It does not provide clinical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. All clinical decisions remain the responsibility of licensed healthcare professionals.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LineageAI, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with all applicable laws. If you are using LineageAI on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

LineageAI provides a web-based platform that enables genetic counselors and related healthcare professionals to:

  • Create and manage case files for patients with hereditary genetic variants.
  • Map family members at risk based on genetic inheritance patterns.
  • Generate and track outreach letters to at-risk family members.
  • Maintain an audit trail of outreach and compliance activities.

LineageAI is a coordination and documentation tool. It does not render medical diagnoses, interpret genetic test results, provide clinical counseling, or replace any licensed healthcare professional's judgment.

3. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Use LineageAI only for its intended purpose as an administrative and outreach coordination tool.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and not share them with unauthorized parties.
  • Ensure that your use of LineageAI complies with all applicable healthcare privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable.
  • Not enter protected health information (PHI) unless you have executed a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with ChimeStream B.V.
  • Not use LineageAI to harass, deceive, or harm any person.
  • Notify us immediately at hello@lineageai.io if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Data Ownership and Responsibility

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into LineageAI. By using our service, you grant ChimeStream B.V. a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and the appropriateness of outreach letters you send using the platform. ChimeStream B.V. is not responsible for any errors in AI-generated letter drafts that you choose to send without review or editing.

5. Disclaimers

LineageAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. ChimeStream B.V. does not warrant that:

  • The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
  • AI-generated letter content will be clinically appropriate, accurate, or complete for any specific use case.
  • The compliance log will satisfy all institutional, regulatory, or legal documentation requirements.

You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before use and consulting your institution's legal and compliance teams regarding documentation requirements.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChimeStream B.V. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, medical liability arising from clinical decisions, or damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Subscription, Billing, and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are in USD. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands, except where applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the platform. Continued use of LineageAI after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
